A easy to use User Interface that allow a friendly interaction on a small touch screen. This allow trained and not user to manage quickly and effectively the CM18 TCR.
This UI is present on more then 30,000 unitis around the world and it's localise in more than 15 languages.
The purpose of this UI was not only create a easy to understand bookmarks to recognise complex operations and device's features but a complete language made with colours, symbols and layouts, so not only icons and pictograms but an entire environment with rules and guide to avoid mistakes and miss-interpretation.
I created more then 300 hundreds icons and pictograms along the years for the continuous improvement and features addition on the TCR Touch UI software.
A series of quite complex operations related to device status, maintenance, and general operations are presented in a 360x270 pixel touch screen display, where I have to create all the elements with the proper dimensions for finger interaction.
Big limitations where created by display colour range and, to add even more complexity, the SW used by code developed not support transparency and semi opacity on the images, but the many thousands of banking teller that interact with the CM18 really like to use this device thanks also to its UI.
